Microsoft Excel Tips and Shortcuts

Sorting in Excel:
1-select all cells including the header row
2-select sort from the data option
3-click the radio button that says "have header row"
4-choose the sorting criteria you want.
The row data remains intact if you specify you have a header row.
These instructions apply to office 2000 and should work with 97 as well.


Transposing in Excel:
Do a right click in this cell and select the "Paste > Special" option.
Leave the Paste > All button checked and then click the "Transpose" box near the bottom of the Paste Special box.


Print to Width of Page in Excel:
File>print>preview>set up>scaling>fit to 1 page wide by 100 (pages) tall.  Set printer to landscape.
